Church Forum: Exclusivist Truth Claims
In regards to the letter from Thomas Moorhouse of the Roy Bible Church (Forum, Feb. 7), it is my observation that any evangelical-ministry-sponsored conference on the LDS Church would by definition be nothing more than a Mormon bashing. I cannot speak for why the LDS spokesmen declined to attend, but what would be the point? All the evangelicals I know are so closed-minded that it is a waste of breath and effort to try and share with them one's understanding. As an outsider to...

His comments raised fears in some quarters about resegregating schools in the 74,000-pupil Charlotte-Mecklenburg system.``Freedom of choice...

If you don't, you're not bound by its teachings, so why let it upset you? If you believe it is true, you also believe that it is led by Jesus Christ through apostles and prophets, and, therefore, its teachings come from him. So take it up with Him, not his servants.Does anyone really think that...
